Pet Care Services

Our Services

We are dedicated to offering comprehensive pet care services to ensure the well-being and health of your furry companions.

At NorthWest Animal Hospital, we focus on preventive care to keep common diseases and disorders from developing in the first place. Combined with regular wellness exams, pet vaccinations and parasite prevention form the foundation of your pet’s routine healthcare.

Fun as it may be, there is also some serious health care business to take care of during your new pet’s first year of life. Your vet will develop a custom health care plan to meet your pet’s specific needs during their first year, and provide you with plenty of support and guidance along the way!

Routine exams from our vets at NorthWest Animal focus on preventive care. These routine exams help ensure your pet is in good health. We’ll give your new best friend a complete physical examination, appropriate immunizations, and deworming medication.

Our vets provide preventive and restorative pet dental health care and surgery for cats and dogs. We strive to make it as stress-free as possible, for you and for your pet.

Our veterinarians provide comprehensive geriatric care for senior cats and dogs to help them feel healthy and comfortable in their old age.

Our vets provide diagnosis and treatment for a variety of internal conditions in pets. If advanced expertise is required for your pet’s care, a specialist referal will be provided.

Today, with the advancement of veterinary science and knowledge, we can photograph the internal organs of animals. We use imaging methods to obtain comprehensive and complete information with non-invasive methods. This action does not disturb the treatment process of the animal and does not cause the slightest problem for the animals.

NorthWest Animal Hospital is equipped to provide a wide range of surgical services and procedures. We’ll give your new best friend a complete physical examination, appropriate immunizations, and deworming medication. You’ll be provided with a puppy or kitten kit filled with educational material and samples to help you care for the newest member of your family.

At NWAH, our vets undertake behavior consultation for both cats and dogs. Which includes diagnosing and then addressing the physical problems leading to behavioral changes, identifying core reasons of behavior issues as per our Veterinary principles, customizing effective strategies to eliminate the causes of behavior changes, and prescribing medications, products, and diets to help relieve stress.

NorthWest Animal Hospital veterinarians and our highly trained and experienced team can help you sort out fact from fiction, truth from myth and choose the best diet for your pet’s long-term health and vitality. Due to ongoing advances in veterinary diets, we are actually witnessing pets with certain chronic health conditions staying healthier and living longer than in the past with the help of therapeutic medical diets.

F.A.Q.

Payment is required in full at the time of service

Spaying or neutering can be done at approximately 6 months of age. Your pet is given an exam prior to surgery to help determine whether your pet is healthy enough to undergo the surgical procedure and current vaccinations are required at the time of surgery. Also a pre-anesthetic blood screen is recommended prior to undergoing anesthesia and surgery.

This is a blood test that is run here in the clinic prior to surgery. It tests the organ functions, blood counts and clotting function of your pet. The pre-anesthetic blood screening is done to assure safety during surgery and the ability to heal following surgery.
